Caring For Your Flowers

If your bouquet comes with a water bubble over the stems, snip the cellophane bubble over the sink to release the water. Take off the packaging carefully, but leave the flowers tied together. Carefully snip an inch off the bottom of the stems on a diagonal slant with a sharp pair of scissors. Find a suitable vase and fill with cold water, adding flower food if you wish as instructed on the packet. Stand your bouquet in the vase. Keep flowers in a cool,  draft free area, and out of direct sunlight. Remove any faded blooms or foliage as soon as possible to avoid bacteria growing. Change the water for fresh water every few days.
If your flowers come arranged in floral foam make sure the container is kept topped up with water every day so that the foam doesn’t dry out. Again remove any faded blooms or foliage as soon as possible and keep away from direct sunlight and drafts.
